The Searidge installation at Seattle Tacoma will be installed in 2 phases. Phase I is currently operational and is located on the ramp tower in between concourses B and C. It monitors the service road, and taxiways W and B. This installation is comprised of a set of four visible cameras and two of two thermal cameras. Each set of cameras is connected to a server. The server records and processes visual output from the cameras, and then displays an stores detection from the processed video. The display consists of all camera feeds “stitched” together, and a map illustrating detection areas of each camera, and the targets being detected. The visible cameras and thermal cameras are connected to separate servers and process video output independent of each other.

In July of 2013, CEAT personnel were on site to evaluate the Phase I installation, as well as to survey for the future Phase II installation. Several testing runs were conducted through the coverage areas of all sensors using a standard sized target of varying colors at various ranges and orientations to the sensor. When possible, different lighting conditions were also evaluated.
