Research

The CEAT research program in airport safety spans a wide range of research themes, some more basic, some more applied. In the more basic area ASMP faculty, students, and staff are exploring fundamental questions related to wildlife and detection technologies.  In the more applied areas, we are exploring a wide range of issues, often collaborating with colleagues at airports and taking advantage of the experience of technology suppliers.  The ASMP research program has benefited from generous in-kind contributions from airport and industry to multiply the effectiveness of the FAA funding received through cooperative agreements.
